Rev. Joel Pulis - Community Pastor / Executive Director: The vision of the Well Community was birthed in Joel’s heart beginning in early 2001, and, since that time, he has led the organization to expand its scope and reach. Joel grew up in Dallas (Oak Cliff, in particular) and previously served on the staff at Cliff Temple Baptist Church. He has pursued graduate studies at Dallas Baptist University, the Antioch Training School (Waco), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ft. Worth), and has a degree in sociology from Baylor University (BA). He is married to Laura and has one daughter, Grace. Mental illness runs in Joel’s family, with several family members having suffered from its effects.

Joshua Pulis, LMSW - Director of Programming: In 2005, Josh joined our staff, having served in a volunteer capacity since the inception of the Well and having worked the previous 3½ years at the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. He is licensed social worker (LMSW), a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington (MS) and Baylor University (BA). Josh is married to Celeste and has two children, Jack and Juliet.

Bob Skinner – Consultant & Contract Case Manager: Bob Skinner is working as a consultant to the Well Community. He has 23 years of community-based, mental-health experience here in Dallas. For the past 16 years, he has operated a private residential and case management program for mentally ill adults. Bob attended Western Illinois University from 1971–1975 and studied psychology and business administration. He and his wife Melissa have two sons, Will (11) and Braeden (9), and are in the process of adopting a 4-year-old daughter, Kailyn.
